Seat's new Mondeo rival – due for a 2009 debut – will be called Exeo. Pronounced ‘ex-ay-oh’ (derived from the Latin exire, meaning ‘to go beyond’ and breaking away from Seat’s city-based nomenclature) the new saloon and estate will rely heavily on the underpinnings of the previous generation Audi A4. It will be the first time that the Spanish carmaker will have a model for Leon and Altea drivers looking for something larger and more aspirational.

Honda are also calling the CR-Z the first Sports Hybrid in the world. And to emphasise that point the CR-Z will come equipped with a real six-speed manual ‘box instead of the irritating CVT boxes most hybrids get. Which should make it a more enjoyable drive.
Prices for the 2012 Scion xD will start at $16,075, Toyota said on Wednesday. For the standard five-speed manual, that’s a $235 increase from final price of the 2011 model. The sticker increases to $16,875 for the four-speed automatic version, which is also $235 more expensive than its 2011 counterpart.
